Prior to seamless nylon stockings Full Fashion (Seamed) stockings were the only stockings available. They were mostly manufactured on machines that produced stockings with a 51 gauge nylon area (51 threads per 1.5") but the luxury end of hosiery manufacturing was on a 60 gauge machine. These machines had more needles for a given area and were much harder to keep running so the cost of these stockings were much higher. The stocking possessed a much higher sheen, were just as sheer as a 51 gauge stockings (Ultra sheer) , conformed to the leg better, were smoother and lasted much long. Seamless stockings including Hanes and most of Albert's were produced on a 400 needle machine, these were your ultra sheer every day stockings much like the 51 gauge Full Fashion stockings.

Triumph nylon stockings were made back in the 1970s on a 474 needle hosiery machine
which was the equivalent to the 60 gauge Full Fashion stocking.

Triumph Black Stockings

Triumph made nylon stockings for the wider and longer leg.

The welt of a Triumph stocking is 1" wider then a typical stocking and in lengths from long to super opera.

These stockings were made back in the late 70s when black stockings became popular.

Prior to the 70s Beige, Taupe and lighter shades were more popular.

These stockings are extremely rare and in very limited quantity. Some of which we may only have 1 pair.

It is uncertain if we will ever have these again.
